Hello, Jost! On behalf of my class, other attendees, and me (!), I would sincerely like to thank you for coming to talk today.
You were, as they say around here, "extraordinaire" !!
Tony Palomo English<->Spanish translator, Miami Hallo Jost,
vielen Dank für Ihren (deinen?) ausgezeichneten Vortrag am Freitag Nachmittag. Leider war das Buch ausverkauft. Kann ich das so bei Ihnen bestellen? Lida Barbetti Vros Translator, New York Thank you again for coming to NY and giving the workshop on Saturday. The response has been very positive. I personally enjoyed the workshop a lot. Milena Savova Director of the Center for Foreign Languages and Translation at the New York's Unviversity's School of Continuing and Professional Studies At the Eighth Annual NETA Conference, Dr. Jost Zetzsche of the International Writers' Group presented A Translator's Tool Box for the 21st Century, where he provided a whirlwind tour of tips, tricks and technologies designed to streamline the efforts of the foreign-language translator. With boundless energy and charisma, Jost gave a highly-understandable tutorial of several features in the Windows Operating System that assist in editing non-English documents, as well as a review of software applications that have helped him as a localization technology consultant and English-to-German translator. Prescott Indigo Translator I really enjoyed Jost’s expert though somewhat condensed presentation. It was extremely informative, with his sense of humor adding just enough to the mix to make us laugh and learn at the same time! Patrice Van Hyle French, Italian, English Translator, Milwaukee Jost Zetzsche began his presentation during the recent NETA Conference to a full auditorium. And it remained full until the end, for Mr. Zetzsche's impeccable presentation skills and extremely useful content kept all Netans interested all along. I must say that my expectations were pleasantly surpassed, since, as an experienced localizer, I did not think this Translator Toolbox double session would have much to offer the more computer-inclined among us (should I say computer dependent?). Alas, I was wrong, and ended up learning a lot of new tricks to play on my PC. I am grateful to Mr. Zetzsche and glad to share with those of you who could not attend a summary of his presentation. Rocio Chavarriaga Translator Thanks for your brilliant seminar. I hope one day you'll be "on tour" in Italy as well :-) Alessandra Di Pofi German, English, Italian Translator, Rome |
